If you’re anything like me, the only thing better than being at the beach is getting ready for a day at the beach. I love packing my bag with all of the essentials: sunscreen, towels, snacks, drinks, and of course, my favorite book.
But what do you do if you forget something important?
Don’t worry โ we’ve got you covered. In this blog post, we’ll tell you about 10 must-have items for your next trip to the beach. So whether you’re hitting the sand in Florida or California, make sure to pack these things!
1. Utility Wagon
A utility wagon is a lifesaver when it comes to going to the beach. No more sweat. No more lifting and carrying things long distances. A utility cart makes everything easier. So get one.
You can load up all of your beach gear โ chairs, umbrellas, coolers, towels, sunscreen, and more โ and easily roll it down onto the sand for your day of fun. And when you’re done for the day, just pack everything up into the utility wagon and roll it back to your car or beach house. It’s that easy.
So don’t make your next trip to the beach harder than it has to be. Get a utility wagon.
2. Shade
If you’re planning a trip to the beach, don’t forget to pack some shade! The sun can be intense at the beach, and there is very little natural shade. Unless you want to spend your whole day huddled under a towel, it’s essential to bring along some sun protection.
Umbrellas and canopies are a great option if you have the space to carry them, but even a large hat can make a big difference. So before you head out for a day of fun in the sun, make sure you have a plan for staying cool and comfortable.
3. Beach Chairs
Beach chairs are essential, but not all beach chairs are created equal.
You want a beach chair that is comfortable enough to sit in for hours and durable enough to withstand salt, sand, and sun. Beach chairs can be made from different materials, so choose one that best suits your needs.
For example, if you’re looking for a beach chair that is lightweight and easy to carry, an aluminum beach chair might be a good option. If you’re looking for a beach chair that is more substantial and durable, a wooden beach chair would be a better choice.
No matter what type of beach chair you choose, make sure it is comfortable and durable so you can enjoy many beach days to come.
4. Snacks
Many people believe that a beach day is all about packing the right swimsuit, sunscreen, and towel. And it is! (To some degree.)
However, an important part of having a successful beach day is also packing snacks. This is especially true if you’re taking kids with you to the beach. Kids tend to get hungry more often than adults, and it’s not always easy to run out and buy snacks once you’re at the beach.
By packing a wide variety of beach snacks, you can be sure that everyone will have something to eat when they’re feeling hungry. This will allow you to stay at the beach for longer, without having to cut the fun short in order to buy food.
So next time you’re planning a beach day, don’t forget to pack some snacks!
5. Cooler
A cooler is a must-have item for any beach trip. Not only will it keep your food and drinks cold, but it will also help you to avoid overpaying for drinks at the beachfront restaurants. And trust me, those prices can add up quickly!
When packing your cooler, be sure to include plenty of bottled water. It’s easy to get dehydrated in the hot sun, and you’ll be thankful for a cold drink to quench your thirst.
If you’re planning on drinking alcohol, make sure that it is allowed on the beach that you’re visiting. Some beaches have strict policies against alcohol, and you don’t want to get hit with a fine. So pack smart and enjoy your time at the beach!
6. Toys/Activities
It’s always nice to have a calm and relaxing trip to the beach. But you can only sit in a chair and listen to the waves for so long. You need to take along some toys and activities to maximize your time at the beach.
What toys and activities work best? Try taking along a kite, a football, a boogie board, sandcastle stuff, a book or magazine, plus anything else that might be entertaining for you or others.
Again, much like it’s important to take snacks for kids, you should also take toys and activities for kids. There’s nothing worse than hearing a child say “I’m bored” while at the beach. With a little planning ahead, you can ensure that everyone has a fun and enjoyable time at the beach.
7. Towels
Anyone who’s ever been to the beach knows that towels are a must. Sand gets everywhere, and it’s nearly impossible to keep your swimsuit dry.
Towels are essential for wiping away the sand and drying off quickly. Plus, saltwater can get in your eyes, ears, and mouth, and towels are great for wiping that away too. No one wants to spend their day at the beach feeling uncomfortable because of sand or saltwater. So be sure to pack plenty of towels for everyone in your group!
8. Sunglasses
Sunglasses are one of those things that you really miss if you forget them when you go to the beach. The glare from the water and sand can be really intense, and it’s hard to enjoy yourself without a pair of sunglasses.
You don’t want to take your fanciest pair of sunglasses to the beach, though. It’s better to find a cheap pair of polarized sunglasses that you don’t mind getting sandy or wet.
And as an added bonus, you can use Croakies or a similar product to keep your sunglasses from falling off. That way, you can enjoy the beach without worrying about losing your sunglasses.
9. Extra Clothes
There’s nothing quite like a day at the beach. The sun, the sand, the waves … it’s all so relaxing. But one downside of the beach is that sand always seems to find its way into your bathing suit.
No matter how careful you are, there’s always a chance that you’ll end up with sand in places you’d rather not have it. That’s why it’s always a good idea to bring extra clothes to the beach. That way, if you do find yourself sitting in a sandy bathing suit, you can quickly change into something clean and dry.
Trust me, it makes a world of difference. So next time you head to the beach, don’t forget to pack an extra set of clothes. Your body will thank you for it.
10. Sunscreen
Any trip to the beach is bound to be ruined by a sunburn. There’s nothing worse than being in the water, only to realize that your skin is on fire.
Sunscreen is essential for any beach trip, but it’s especially important if you’re going to be spending multiple days at the beach. Water-resistant sunscreen is a must, and you should also make sure to choose a sunscreen that’s specifically designed for your face. Your face is the most sensitive and burnable part of your body, so it’s important to choose a sunscreen that will give it the best protection possible.
With the right sunscreen, you can enjoy your time at the beach without worrying about getting burned.
